It's another sunny day, just as it should be in Pendrell Sound! Boats leave, the party is over at the head of the sound. Our cove empties out, too. Morning is quiet, peaceful, beautiful, with gusty breezes. We take in the scenery and watch the parade of boats going by from the bow of NORTH STAR.

Lots of boats means lots of wakes as we head to Refuge Cove. We add ours on this scenic day in Desolation Sound.
Fuel is topped off, and then we see our Ranger Tug friend Glen wave us to the inner dock where there is a spot available for NORTH STAR. We get a quick visit with Glen, catching up on our cruises since our last encounter at Sullivan Bay, then head to the upper deck for burgers. After a little provisioning at the Refuge Cove store and ice cream cones on this summer day, we are ready to continue our cruise.
Our cruise to Mansons Landing takes us along Cortes Island and around Sutil Point at the southern tip of the island, and then into Mansons Bay. As we cruise, we have views back to Desolation Sound and ahead to Vancouver Island.
We tuck into Manson Landing, dropping the anchor not once, not twice, but three times before we are set. It is time to enjoy our new setting with swims, dinner in the cockpit, and sunset, and a bit of moonlight.
